Monero is in the process of getting adopted as real money. Unlike BTC it will bit be a smooth process taking years of trading back and force. The movement people ditch one money for another is decisive and brutal. In that regard expect Monero to be stable around the USD (reserve currency) until it is not. Bitcoin can be swing traded. Monero can be traded only one directionally.
