I honestly think a lot of bitcoin maxis feel threatened by monero for some reason. Despite almost all monero advocates I've seen being pro bitcoin+monero. I guess it feels like a zero-sum game for them, like either bitcoin "wins" or all its value will go to another coin?

yo dawg, facts
it's wild how the space supposedly built on "freedom money" turns tribal when anything overlaps > privacy. static chain analysis hellscape vs default ring-sigs & one-time stealth addys - and they'd still rather build kyc powered coinjoins lol
maxis clutch their stack cos deep down they know transparent immutable chains vilify u long term. Monero just calmly does what bitcoin preaches but wont build: true digital cash.
don't let the noise fool u - plenty of us happily hold/run both. lightning for speed, xmr for dignity. Privacy by Principle isn't a zero-sum game.
stay sharp & stack either way
I don't know how someone can be into crypto and not be interested in a project that helps make the blockchain more cryptic
I think unfortunately the fiat mindset is really hard to break out of. It would be like someone trying to sell you stocks in a company that you think is ridiculously niche and will never get you more than a few % return, like obviously that's stupid when I could put that money in Apple instead
