Jealousy is the wrong response when you see someone doing something better than you. You should feel inspired by it. Every skill, every craft, every perspective is passed down through observation and refinement. Someone inspires you, you take that inspiration and filter it through your own experience, then eventually you become the source of inspiration for someone else. Don’t become bitter because someone is further ahead than you. Let it push you to improve in your own way and on your own time. The goal isn’t to copy them, but rather it’s to discover your own relationship to the thing and become valuable through that process. The people you admire once admired someone else too.
