Not going to lie, I cannot wait till I can borrow against my Bitcoin. I know Unchained allows it but I think it’s restricted to high amounts and massive interest. I hope when Strike and whoever else comes up with this soon that it’s realistic for the average pleb vs people who already have the means to buy most anything they want . @jack mallers @strike

How about lendn.io ive been snooping on this untill @jack mallers gives us that option
Never heard of it. Have you used it before? Thanks for sharing 🤟
No i haven't. Last night i almost pulled the trigger. I found this from watching @BTC Sessions
Cool man. I’ll look into.
Leveraging seems like an opening for a scam or a scenario to where one robs Petter to pay Paul. Those that create a system for leverage are essentially service providers that skim or scrape for payment almost like gambling.
Isn't that like exiting one debt system to then create another?
Isn't Bitcoin ultimately supposed to be a 1:1 economy? Like you get what you earn?
Seems like it would be difficult to shed these douce bag Bankers if we continued to play their games. 🤷♂️
I understand your point. However, from my point of view, if an honest lender is willing and able to provide me with a loan at a reasonable rate and proves to be a good steward of collateralized bitcoin why wouldn’t I take advantage of that instead of selling a potentially large portion of my stack. I’m all for using bitcoin for actual payments but in the current Bitcoin lifeline it makes more sense for me personally to let that grow for now.
I understand that changing from one currency standard to another is going to be very difficult for some. What you describe will most likely be a future transition for many people. I'm just very leery that it can be easy corrupted behind a cloak of secrecy but on a more digital (lack of a better term) level.
Now if you want to make a play and leverage the shit out of your fiat currency to include a home equity loan on your residence then fuckin eh. 💪
I just hope that the Bitcoin standard gives the people the ability to wash their hands of the Federal Reserve fuckery. Just like I'm not a fan when "liberals" screw shit up and move to only screw up a place they were once escaping from.
Honestly I believe that "shitcoins" would be better suited for leveraging, investing, or even gambling but not so much for Bitcoin.
Just my personal opinion. 🤷♂️
I 100% hope we can separate money and state. I still think however borrowing to improve your life will be necessary even on a bitcoin standard. I don’t think borrowing is a bad thing under the proper and fair standard like bitcoin would provide. The Fed is definitely a cartel
