The pi5 has the speed but not really the memory for this stuff. It swaps like crazy. The new 16gb version today could help.
Or just go Alder Lake which is so so so much faster for not much more money. Just not at geeky.

I got an older AMD mini PC but it's a bit tricky to find all the appropriate drivers, will have to find some time to get back to it.
BTW, I plan to just run a simple personal node and home media stuff on this one this time, nothing ambitious.
