Too many people have been in a rut and can't let themselves see a way out of it. Fear of change? Idleness?
I am on a job at the moment where I have to travel in traffic jams every night. I leave very early to miss that but I am stuck at night. Nearly doubles the journey time. I'll 'only' be doing that for a few months.
The majority of the people in the other vehicles are doing it permanently. Horrific. Can't be good for the soul.
Modern life for the working Pleb is tax slavery for sure.
