Man, so well said. I recently joined a new tech company and their stack, while impressive, is sprawling and complex to a level that’s very hard to wrap your mind around. It’s such that it takes huge teams of highly intelligent (and expensive) engineers to keep it moving forward. It has SO many detrimental effects, but I think you nailed the most crucial one, which I had been struggling to articulate.

I think I want to try my hand and reminding us plebs that it's been hidden from us on purpose. You have to know what you're up against.
