Every summer I wonder if we're suffering from global warming confirmation bias. Everyone (including the news) talks about climate change, and so when unusual weather events occur (by some definition of unusual) it gets connected to climate change. But are we ignoring the mundane and the ordinary amidst all this focus on the extremes?

Yeah and then they pick some benchmark that's hyper-specific so it's easy to beat lol
