If no one wants to pay with bitcoin then there is no 'adoption phase'
Adoption is measured by everyday non-exchange transactions. not by hodlers or speculators

Defining adoption solely as people using bitcoin as a medium of exchange is pretty narrow in my opinion. I think adoption will will be bitcoin as store of value first. Let’s see.
