Did he do something special or is it just paid relays working as intended by providing a paywall for spammers?

He has a bunch of policies that kill spam and other undesirable content to though.

I don't see them 🥹 I'm blocking the profile picture that they're all using. It's a quick and dirty bandaid fix for now.

On Amethyst go to security filters, hidden words, and add "xDBupZD" without quotes or you can add the whole image URL

Should be easier to block from a post, for example: when we block or report, ask if we would like to block all other profiles with same profile image or other info.
