I'm really annoyed about this. Why was the change made? What was the proposed benefit? I updated Plume because I thought everyone was going that way, now I'm told they're not. But that means I've got to add more complexity too, replying to kind 1 replies with kind 1, and kind 1111 replies with kind 1111. Even that breaks things.

something about being able to load thread roots first, so that if you somehow have 1000s of comments from all your friends it wont drown out the top level posts? a very obscure situation that basically never happens. with limit you get all of the latest posts on the network amongst your followers, so the existing way of doing things was basically a nice little preload for free. people just overcomplicating things because thats what people do.
