Agreed. Seems like two things need to happen simultaneously. One, new users need to be incentivized to gravitate toward thier cliques (this will require some effort from new user, client can't do this completely). 2, the big cliques need to be broken into sub cliques maybe? But we need to clearly conceptualize what we mean by clique and how that concretely translates into a Nostr thing

Whats the point tho... Fragmentation just means more division, less people interacting with other POVs, more polarization, thats exactly what legacy SM algorithms did... Its just more echo chambers, i get it, echo chambers are comfortable, but they are pointless. Imagine tommorrow there are 1 million new muslim Nostr users. If everyone is locked into a node of 100 users, that is no different than noornode today. The reach is the same, we all have an audience of 100. Surely the idea should be to bring larger followings to a central node so that we can actually reach people and have an audience for podsystems for example.

Hello, unrelated comment here, found this through the palestine tag. Has anyone made a backup of the Genocide archive X account on Nostr? if they come back online or have a website it qould be great to inform them about the censorship resistance ability of Nostr!
