I don't know if I'd recommend to anyone to ever run a business on Cashu. That seems reckless. At the least right now.

If you just use it (or something like @Mysterious Hamster ) to batch together a few orders before sending it to an on-chain or lightning wallet, it seems reasonable. Lightning really sucks at the "receiving $5 at a time over your current inbound liquidity limit" problem. Cashu will fix this.
Would say the same of shopstr tbh. I've placed an order through there but DMs don't seem to work. And I have to reload by browser cache (delete all cookies stored data and re sign in) to make new stuff show up (listings, DMs, whatever). It seems really rough around the edges. I eventually got my order but if I wasn't a level 10 linux tryhard I don't think I would have.
The key is to not have much of an inbound limit 😜 But to do that you'll need to use many channels or large LSPs and buy the liquidity.
I normally just use the integrations through Amethyst. That works well. @calvadev⚡️ some feedback for ya.
DMs have definitely been the biggest friction point, especially since most clients don't handle NIP-17 and some extensions don't support NIP-44 encryption. Did you run into these issues recently (like within the last day or so) or a bit before? I released an update yesterday that fixed a DM loading bug and made processing them a bit faster (albeit still limited by connection speed as they're now fetched all at once).
YES
UNFORTUNATELY
WE ARE TRYING TO IMPLEMENT BTCPAY ON OUR SITE
THAT MIGHT HELP
OR SHOPSTR COULD RUN THEIR OWN MINT (NOT SURE WHAT THAT IMPLIES)
THAT WOULD MAKE IT SLIGHTLY MORE SECURE , NO?
