I'm curious about whether and how you prune it from the NFT rubbish, as soon as it's synced. I want to run a node, too. I can't believe your forced to store 1.6 TB to be able to run a lightning node. #runnode
That’s why the exercise of installing a pruned node and performing all kinds of tests. I’m not sure if I managed to make a Lightning node work. And definitely 1.6 Tb makes many withdraw from being able to have their #Bitcoin node as it has always been since the beginning.
An average block is about 1 MB in size. Although it seems that max. 4 MB is allowed. So 4 (MB) x 6 (10 minutes per hour) x 24 (hours per day) x 365 (days per year) x 15 (years of the timechain) = 3.1 TB Looks like we're still good with 1.6 TB. 😅🙈
Depending on where you live, getting a disc of almost 2Tb is not easy or cheap. It is a cost that many are not willing to accept. Even if they have a strong desire to have their own node.
