Depends on the objectivity of truth and the subjectivity of the individual.
If it’s the truth then it’s true. But an individual can say with absolute certainty that 'this' or 'that' is true, and it still be a lie.
As the good book says, the truth shall make you free. The opposite is also true, lies will put you in bondage.
