I'm somewhat biased given that I've seen my parents and an aunt die before retirement age, and a decent number of the older people in my life somewhat wonky health issues. So I'm inclined to support enjoying your youth because the retirement that's shown on TV can be a myth for some families.

As if Gen X will ever retire. 🀣
My is 69 and her eldest grandchild is ten.πŸ‘ Also there's a big factor of being mentally flexible after 35, which we are simply not anymore. Too many chicks around are used to their so enjoyed youth, turned into ambitious bitches and no partner is good enough. And the good ones are taken anyway or don't want this. Now drop a child there. Nah, we should have kids at 20 when we're still dumbasses.

I was not prepared for the drop in mental acquity and fine motor skills past 40. Even just the ability to deal with changing sleep schedules disappears. It's so weird that everyone is so old, but nobody talks about aging. We supposedly stay young and fun until 65 and then become old overnight. πŸ™„ Straight from maiden to crone, skipping over the mother phase. But the decline is real.

The best is when people in way worse physical and mental shape than I am deny this because they stopped doing the hardest stuff or never even started.
