My bitcoin node ran out of storage space. Anybody have any recommendations what to do? It’s taking up 757GB of space. Not sure if that’s normal or not. #asknostr #bitcoin #help

Prune your node?
1 - look into pruning
2 - get bigger ssd, resync blockchain
Looks like electrs doesn’t support pruned node which I am using to connect to sparrow wallet.
Leaning towards bigger SSD. Is there a quick way to resync blockchain so it’s not starting from scratch? Take a backup of the files from my current SSD perhaps?
Not supported by Electrs which I’m using to connect to sparrow wallet.
You can prune it which means you remove the older blocks data from the disk. Your node will still be fully functioning, keeping all the newest unconfirmed transactions and validation new blocks.
If somehow you still need transaction data from old blocks like from a few years ago, then don't prune it.
Was looking into this but electrum app doesn’t support pruned nodes which I use to connect to my sparrow wallet privately
Just copy the files from old disk to new bigger one. Set up new path to these files and that should work.
Ohh gotcha… guess it’s time for a new HD?
