Anyone out there know why I would be getting charged a 100% fee transferring sats from Muun to WoS? image

Also payment failed trying to buy nostr.wine relay with high fee and fee didn’t get refunded. Is that typical? image
If you're looking for a self-custody solution that doesn't suck, try Phoenix or Breez. Real, self custody LN. They both have fees for channel opening obviously / LSP services. Phoenix is my personal recommendation. If you're looking for custodial: WoS, Alby, etc.
Because Muun isn’t a lightning wallet. It’s a terrible on-chain wallet that makes LN payments using submarine swaps. This makes it expensive to use and is bad for bitcoin scaling overall by putting way more transactions on-chain than needed and bloating the UTXO set with a ton of tiny UTXOs (which is another reason why fees are so expensive with it). PSA: don’t use Muun.
Man what absolute garbage. Tried to send all my sats out. Payment failed but they kept the 10k sat fee. Coulda zapped so many plebs with those sats. I appreciate the help! TLDR: Muun blows.
It’s Muun. The wonderful nostriches helped me figure it out. Muun was charging on-chain fees to perform submarine swaps. Plus they kept showing my transactions failing while pocketing the fees. Outrageous. Won’t make that mistake again.
100-200% fees for a lightning transaction, but didn’t realize they were doing submarine swaps and were charging me fees for on-chain transactions. A couple lightning payments failed but I lost over 10k sats in fees on those failed transactions
I have almost zero technical know how so probably did something wrong, but still kind of a bummer and annoying frictions
Yeah that’s odd this was my transaction to my ledger yesterday from moon only cost like 1600 sats in fees. WoS is usually 9,000-12,000 in fees for me.
No, Muun no es una billetera Lightning. Es una billetera en cadena y funciona con Lightning usando “submarine swaps”. Por eso, las transacciones pueden ser muy caras, especialmente cuando el mempool está lleno.
