Would the concept, value, or behavior of “trust” make a return (from the trustless blockchain) somehow as we enter a world of deepfake? In a world where we don’t know what’s real, what’s real?

I don't think trust has gone away to begin with. It's true that we don't need to trust a centralized entity for Bitcoin to work, but this, in turn enables trust in Bitcoin. Trust between individuals is as necessary as ever.
