In a hard money world everyone would have "Universal high income" but it would look like universal high standard of living.
The United States could look totally different without the last 50 years of financial repression.
The government should give everyone a billion dollars so that 1) we're all billionaires and 2) the USD finally dies and people flock harder into hard money

If you’re in bitcoin/nostr/freedom tech you will be enjoying abundance gained from operating in the free market……if you’re pricing from fiat, you’ll be helping to centralize and losing/be confused at a rate that is hard to imagine.

I mean it's an accepted thing now that to keep the game going, UBI in some format or another will be voted for.
So what is the realistic alternative if the future tech stack does live up to the hype? Corporations will shed people-related costs and there will not be 1:1 job replacement. If there truly is massive abundance in non scarce goods and services, it doesn't really make sense to create new businesses centered around those, either.
This sounds like it leads to Government intervention and massive overregulation of the tech to protect the pre-existing social contract/societal norms.

I've listened to a lot of the AI leaders and experts and they have all explicitly stated that the social contract will have to change in an AI-dominant landscape.
The disappointing thing is that Im almost certain he knows that ubi is a non solution. I remember he argued against it voraciously to Rogan during covid.

Sure, but that value doesn't necessarily have to be worth anything monetarily, or rather, would be assigned a very low monetary value if it is a non scarce output.
What you said, though, is the response to those that come back at those talking about AI job loss asking "what will people do with their time?" -- They would be able to focus on "doing what they love" and not be constrained by chasing 1s and 0s in the tradfi ledger provided their basic needs are met.
If you're not sure what that means, what was your "the relation between an individual and society" phrase because that is precisely what that is defined as.
Musk and crew also promised AI would only be used for hard work freeing up time for creative industries and actually CREATE new jobs. No AI is purely being used in the US to replace the most human orientated jobs first.

Problems here:
1. Democracy is only as good as people voting are wise and informed(media lies). So they'll choose that.
2. Prices will rise. UBI will not be enough to live.
3. Now they have UBI AND have to work.
Lose any of this 2 and you can't make ends meet. Be against govt or corporations and you're done.
They'll eagerly build own prisons/coffins.
