Universal high income sounds great to people who have no idea where money comes from or who benefits and who loses from the theft. Of course Elon would promote it.

In a hard money world everyone would have "Universal high income" but it would look like universal high standard of living. The United States could look totally different without the last 50 years of financial repression.
The government should give everyone a billion dollars so that 1) we're all billionaires and 2) the USD finally dies and people flock harder into hard money
Even if there were true, what happens between now and this ‘utopia’?
Unrelated, are you coming to the btc conference in Prague Jeff? Your European fans wanna see you too ♥️
If you’re in bitcoin/nostr/freedom tech you will be enjoying abundance gained from operating in the free market……if you’re pricing from fiat, you’ll be helping to centralize and losing/be confused at a rate that is hard to imagine. That structural change is going to cause chaos everywhere because the change is us.
when the farmer comes to feed his pigs in the pen they're happy and starving for the slop. its safe to say at this point if you're still on x, you're in the pen.
UHI is just a simplified form of social support, but with a higher floor and less bureaucracy. The baseline standard of living keeps rising as it always has with technological progress.

Savage. But... Appropriate? I mean it's an accepted thing now that to keep the game going, UBI in some format or another will be voted for.
yes, in the same vein of not realizing where money comes from, they also don’t understand UBI inverts the relation between an individual and society.
reality is finite, bounded, defined by its limits human desires will always exceed the human condition So there will always be opportunities for humans to create value for others
not sure exactly what is meant by “social contract” but humam nature is immutable. AI doesn’t change that.
Musk and crew also promised AI would only be used for hard work freeing up time for creative industries and actually CREATE new jobs. No AI is purely being used in the US to replace the most human orientated jobs first.
the idea sounds great to people who own frontier models, future digital labor.
Hi mate … You are right but not for those frontie alone even the old class also have some useful benefits
Why do you think programmable money will let you buy bitcoin, they dont want you to escape from the system.
