I hear you, and I appreciate the attempt of philosophy too, but I don‘t think it was delivered properly.
Every time I watch Prometheus/Covenant I feel like I should know something that in fact wasn‘t said.
It might be part of the mystery, and I do like the movies.
But I must say, as a worshipper of the first two films, I was happy when Romulus brought back the good old bloodbath..
Another view - Prometheus/Covenant tried to explain things, but to me, a huge part of the Alien horror magic is the unknown - it‘s a brutal agressive fucking lifeform from deep space, period.
One of my personal cons of the Earth was that it‘s even possible to somehow communicate with it - NO! 😁
But of course I‘m not saying this is the right view, it‘s a good thing that this series offers different takes for different kinds of audience.
