It is up to each of us. Burn your idols. Doctors, heal yourselves. Stop putting your faith in kings and get moving. 1) Download your events to your local app database or a local relay, or use an export tool. 2) Setup a local relay and include it in your app's relay list. Configure it so that you and your friends' events are protected ON YOUR HARDWARE. Make the censors pry the events out of your cold, dead laptop. 3) If you are using Android, install Orbot, Citrine, and Amber, and make good use of them. You do not need to use Amethyst, to use these systems! 4) Tip devs directly. Don't force the funds through a financial funnel. That funnel is a chokepoint and can get easily closed off. 5) Support and utilize a selection of large remote/aggregator relays, source-hosted from different legal jurisdictions and run by different admins. 6) Consider setting up and running your own community relay. More relays better. image

Tip: if you are using Damus, it includes a database. Make sure that is working properly and the data is up to date. If you are using nostr-relay-tray, it has a proxy, that allows you to publish your local relay to the internet. We need more proxies, like that.
One effective thing that every Nostrich can do, is go to GitHub or the Zap Store or Fdroid, or or wherever, find the repo of the apps you like to use and DOWNLOAD IT. You don't need to install it, you just need to store a local copy and occasionally update it. That means that the government's urge to attack developers is dampened, or at least inefficient/ineffective, as you can publish the repo and share it, if the repo gets censored.
If you are tech-savvy and host a website, you can also host a copy of each of your favorite apps and relays. The point of them is not to generate income or traffic, but to be a fallback system. Like mirrors. We need way more mirrors.
