If I'm not mistaken, the New Testament was first passed around as oral stories through generations of illiterate people speaking Aramaic. Only after a few generations (assuming women were child-bearing by 14 years old or so, like Mary), was anything translated and written into Greek. What do you think happened as the oral stories were translated in both language and context (into "Greek philosophy") or written for a Greek-literate audience? I assume it's difficult to know, but it sounds like you may have some insight. I appreciate the explanation of the "logos" as "reason" or "logic". Interesting stuff. Really makes me wonder how much else is really misunderstood by the 99 percent of believers who don't really have the substantial education required to decipher these texts.
