Diaphram = expanding the rib cage and legs from the center, not leading with the stomach as many erroneously do.

Many people puff their chest out because they were told this is 'correct' posture. This encourages chest breathing. This is good when there is danger. Being conscious of this can help get back to a natural breathing. Relax your shoulders.

Also, if you ever find yourself almost gasping for air (over exertion, winded after vigorous exercise, or stressful event/panic), if you lift both your arms straight up over your head, it will help expand your chest cavity slightly to allow for better use of your diaphragm and accessory breathing muscles, potentially increasing oxygen intake.
