yeah, it's a non-sequitur. i just thought about it because after working on a farm for a couple months elbow-to-elbow with a farmer, i think i would recommend a farmer for your short list. 50 cows all moo when he passes by, i hear his voice calling "here cows," and they all go trotting down the pasture from one field to the next. the dog trots along at his heels. he's got callouses. the best thing is if you're a first time woman farmer you qualify for tax credits. no idea how they determine eligibility, USDA certified.
