Honest question for Plebs and Developers in general. Why do so many of you block me when in mid conversation y’all lack technical facts and just block so you can repeat the same lies that had been debunked by the people they block. This is referring to Xdotcom but I’ve experienced here as well. I’d like and guest question from the technically knowledgeable btc only crowd. Disclosure. I’m obviously a monero guy but recognize the dwindling use case of p2p money in bitcoin so I use it onchain quite frequently. Also up front my Lightning Network usage is for fun mostly and with monero tipping on here now it’s decreased quite a bit. Most my vendors refuse to use LN and if BTC is an option it’s on chain and requires a 5-10% fee. @Derek Ross @jack Mallers @jb55 image

I have used monero in the past, but I only have the energy to focus my dev efforts on things that have a chance of being successful. Bitcoin is our chance. It’s the most decentralized and least LARP.

They know Monero is a better tool for censorship resistant money, but they what Bitcoin to win at all costs even if it cost their freedom for profit.
How is it the most decentralized? My metrics show solo mining with RandomX decentralized it a lot more. Granted p2p pool before its current state made an attack easier but would be short lived attack. Bitcoin has little censorship resistance. Lacks full fungibility. I think the biggest leaping is calling btc Freedom Money. Dnms that made btc popular is removing it as an option left and right. The digital Gold narrative is all they have right now and lacks empirical evidence of it being similar. I’d say if it survives the future in its current path it could be better than gold for storing value but gold is one of a kind and plenty have held as a better sov in the last week, month and YTD. I love bitcoin but can’t help but see if nothing changes significantly it will fail by the next cycle. Just my option. Just curious why you refused monero donation that you could swap to your preferred currency. I am rambling this morning but I think you understand my position and my questions.
