And then he said "Oh you've never seen the numbers before?" and turned to the nearest man next to him and snapped his nose. I watched the horror on the man's face who had just had his nose broken. He knew his ticket had been punched and had only just seconds to live before the fluid from his brain drained out of his now broken nose. The whole scene was dreadful. The fluid drained from his brain, white and blue and iridescent and I saw the "numbers" come out. How callously this first man had killed this other man. for what? It still makes my stomach turn to think about.
