Yes the number of units does have an effect on the total wealth study math, it's called dilution. Why do you think there's inflation? Inflation is an increase in the money supply.

an arbitrary change in the number of units has an effect on the value of each unit.
it doesn't matter how many units there are, just that its not arbitrarily increased more than the demand for money has increased.
according to Mises, stable and known supply inflation *within the increase in demand for money* isnt inflation at all.
