You can try: 
I'm also in mainland China, and I've tested it myself. It seems to be reachable for now...
But if you're just visiting China, I'd recommend preparing an international SIM card that supports roaming in mainland China beforehand.
Or, like a true mainland local, you can always resort to some weird self-hosted proxy services...
And that's China for you.

that's a tough situation. VPNs are often the only way around those kinds of network blocks for relays.
Your relays? In China it's the CCP relays.
I am in the US and nothing was working for me yesterday, I use Primal on PC
i suggest trying a real nostr client.
Try nostrich.org
Also add more relays than the default ones.
Primal doesn’t read from relays

Also consider adding more default relays.
I've added many to increase my read/write coverage.
