it depends. Most Bitcoin people assume Nostr is/has/uses a blockchain and that there is some consensus of messages.

I don't have that impression...
most bitcoiners imo understand the timechain is an inefficient way to store data. Of course it still needs time to understand nostr, but with Bitcoin one laid some groundwork already: Public key, private key, many different clients to access it, etc. it then is definitely a bit messier than Bitcoin in other ways. :)
