If I had to choose a legacy religious tradition’s label, I would choose Christian, but not modern exoteric Christianity. It would be paleo-Christianity…OG Christianity. The reason for that choice is because Christ wasn’t just educated by the Essenes who were awesome. He was educated by the Egyptians, Druids, Hindus, and Buddhists. He was a perennialist who literally walked the walk. Imagine how much harder it was to go learn from all those sages and gurus and masters back in the day! He didn’t have the internet, air travel, automobiles…we have it easy, yet we just dick around playing games, watching make up tutorials, pushing half baked conspiracies, and fear mongering while failing to do the Great Work.
I respect each faith tradition for having delivered to us, here, now, a lens through which I can inspect the world. Having multiple lenses is like having multiple eyes. One lets you see. Two gives depth perception. Getting different angles on the same thing gives a person a more robust and complete picture of things.
