I'm using X-Plane at the moment. I was renting DA-40s at the time. I spent a couple of grand on the sim because I figured that it would pay for itself if it saved me 10 hours of rental. I'm sure it did. And, of course, I still use it to keep in practice. The Sr22 is a lovely machine. I can fly from Northern Illinois to Baton Rouge on one tank of gas, and under 5 hours (if the wind is with me.) I've flow to DC, Austin, Charlott, Chattanooga, Monumen Valley, and a whole bunch of other places. I’m located in Naples, Florida. I’m still renting my rides. I’ve never flown a Cirrus. I think I got too used to the old steam gauges! I hope to step up to ownership at some point. What software are you using for your sim? Many years ago, I used Microsoft Flight Simulator, but that was before I got my ticket.
