I used to follow this kind of stuff closely, but now I have no idea what's going on... maybe I can get an AI to summarize it for me
I read it as a massive overreaction to a non-issue or a targeted attack to decide on who gets to decide which valid transactions are more valid than others.
I'm leaning towards the latter
