Yes exactly! For example let's say my SSD dies today (hope it doesn't), all my channels data would be safe in the USB. I would just install CLN again, use my 12 words and paste the sqlite file and run. If instead both my database get corrupted (SSD and USB) I'd have to close every channel with the SCB. This behavior is the same in LND and CLN for what I've seen
