Tudor Black Bay 58 (https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watches/black-bay-58/m79030n-0001) and now there’s a Helson Sharkmaster 300 on its way to me. The Ocean Rover is a result of a quality Rolex Submariner faker becoming legit to create a Frankenstein hommage to various historic Submariner models, mainly the so called Military Submariner (MilSub) models and 4 to 5 digit references. Quality components, some even sourced from or even made in the US - it also gets assembled there. Got it for half the price because I was handed a coupon code I wasn’t supposed to have. Tudor’s BB58 scratched an itch when it got released, being a modern diver, manufacture calibre with semi-vintage vibes at just the right size. Had some unexpected gains from shitcoin trading back then. Wouldn’t spend that much on a watch again but I love it everytime I wear it. Helson’s Sharkmaster 300 is another hommage, this time to the vintage Omega diver Seamaster 300. As with the Submariners and MilSubs, this model had a few production runs for the military that caused some design decisions that make these models highly sought after. Being a pleb, I’ll never be able to afford a real MilSub/vintage Omega so instead of looking for cheap fakes, I’ve found this hommage niche.

I really like the Tudor! The watch market is insane, so this hommage niche is smart of you. Currently I only have a Seiko Presage I really like, but I want to find more "cheap" but beautiful watches to add to my collection.
