By what mechanism? Datum and SV2 have been around for years and they haven't been adopted by these corporations yet. Why would they give up their power to give the hashers agency?
A majority of hashers are just big warehouses with machines and electricity. They don't care about the actual network as long as they get paid.
That's why I was all about the heatpunk movement and I thought we had more time. But this event emboldens the miners to make their own MASF that they know the rest of the network will not reject. The reason they know they won't reject it is because people running the legacy software thought they rejected BIP110 when they actually didn't.
I don't know if you remember talking to me and my general temperament, but I'm not an emotional person whatsoever. This is a sober reflection on what actually happened.
