@Dissident Sound You are right to compare Galen and Jay. Ultimately Jay has the same narcissistic and pushy personality - it blinds him to the fact that no one wants to live his life. A smarter or more reflective person would ask why what he perceives as his best advice is falling on deaf ears. But he can't do that because he's a malignant narcissist. Trump is too. This is actually an example of what you said about how your thoughts or persona can become a trap that imprisons you. He should have realized after all his hookups that no one cares, but he still has to keep up this performative fuckboy thing for a paying audience and he is blind to how repulsive it is to a lot of people. He should at least take the market's signals (based on a recent post) and become like an advice columnist or something. That would at least play to his biggest strengths based on the current preferences of the market - you make money from what they want, not what you think they should want. But he's among his fellow hedonists in Barcelona so he is also living in a bubble along with all the other subculture denizens.

Based on my experiences these past 2+ years, I probably could be a male whore. The issue for me is disgust: Let's be honest - would you want to sleep with Jay's sloppy seconds? I am boycotting the rest of the NBA finals. Already by the conference finals I was thinking "this is rigged" when I watched OKC deliberately play to lose in game 7. Wembanyama had several flagrant fouls in the playoffs, enough that he should have been ejected from the postseason, but they let it pass. Then, the Spurs blew a 30 point lead to lose in the final seconds of the second game at MSG. Yeah, I'm done. It's all fake and gay. Oh, WWE is scripted, fake and gay, but pro sports aren't. Suuuuure they aren't. At least if the NHL is scripted, they don't make it so goddamned obvious.
