One Raspberry Pi Zero, one temperature/humidity sensor, four momentary buttons, five leds and a lot of wires later, the S9 now has three predefined heating modes to work with. image #homemining

Spent last couple of days testing the new heater. Shit works, first sats are in! image I put it in the case even though it still works on ethernet cable. Now I'm playing with the settings. Any suggestions on how to balance max power and fan speed? image Found a python library to talk to it (pyasic), so next I'll try to do some basic automation on it.

A few of the heatsinks fell off during transport, so my first mission of the day was to glue them back to the hashboard. image While waiting for adhesive to do its job, I flashed sd-card with braiins os. And since the hashboards were already out, I also set the jumpers to boot from sd-card. image After the glue hardened I slided the hashboards back in, then mounted the brackets and fans. Now it's almost ready for first flight!

After lurking in nostr shadows for years, today I'm posting a note! As a long standing lightning node runner, I'm trying out something new for me. The weather has gotten cold enough I can finally assemble my S9 heater that Bert from @BitcoinBrabant kindly sent to me a month or so ago. Here's the miner, its case and some more stuff I'll need to build it. image I know some of you have a rig similar to this already running, so feel free to post some tips and suggestions for me in the comments. I'll try to keep you updated on my build. #mining
