There's no denying that bitcoin maxis exodus to Nostr left the mainstream social media battlefield free to conquer by nocoiners and shitcoiners. We're no longer sufficiently practicing the toxicity required to dominate public opinion regarding bitcoin.

Bitcoin's podcasting space is becoming increasingly dull. What other non-bitcoin based podcasts you listen to folks ?

If you weren't naive, you wouldn't be complaining about that people are flowing to Bluesky instead of Nostr. You think that most people are sophisticated enough to magically grasp that organically decentralized protocols fare better than "centralized platforms" in a context of censorship ? Get your fingers out of your anuses, guys. Technology adoption is not necessarily driven by "rationality". Think about people who still traveled on horseback even if cars were far superior.

There is a lot of noise and bullshit among bitcoiners.

I hope I'm not the only one who sees Trump speech yesterday as a manipulation attempt of a growing voter base. I don't think he meant a single word he said. He will probably free Ross though. And that's a W.

What legacy mainstream media outlets do you still consult on a regular basis (despite it being ripe with psyops) ? What value do you still find in it ?

GM fellow bitcoiners Multisig is actively pushed forward in the community, especially from podcasters, because they're sponsored by Multisig companies. Follow the incentives. Keep it simple. Most bitcoiners, especially greenhorns, don't need multisig.

I'm still not convinced by multisig. For me, it's extra dependency with other entities I can't control. Yes, you become a SPOF. But that's a mild tradeoff if you smartly manage redundancy of the seed. Still open to arguments against my Singlesig Maximalism.

Nassim Taleb is haunted by bitcoin. He knows he put his reputation & legacy on the line by going anti-bitcoin image

I believe that one important vector to increase Nostr adoption is building extra-bitcoin communities, especially in Sports. Personally, one reason I keep going back to twitter is because I love Football and Formula1 and I have to get the latest news about Scuderia Ferrari and Real Madrid from specialized accounts on twitter

My holidays in Croatia (Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik) are coming to an end. Positives 1) Beautiful country 2) Nice weather Negatives 1) Scammer mentality : starting 2023, Croatia adopted the Euro. Instead of just converting the prices from Kuna to Euro following the official exchange rate, most merchants jumped on the opportunity to rise prices (up to 50% in some cases) and scam people, especially to milk unsuspecting tourists. Ex : a taxi drive from Dubrovnik Port to my hotel would have cost me 18euros. Fortunately, my gf suggested using Uber, which meant that I ended up paying... 4 euros, because the price is determined by the algorithm leaving no room for the taxi scammers. I live in France (minimum wage = 1200e), and life is cheaper there than Croatia (minimum wage = 600e). Doesn't make sense. 2) Cold, unfriendly people : croatians I came across didn't make me feel welcomed. They rarely smile or look at you straight in the eyes. They seemed like cold robots who don't give a fuck that you are visiting their country.

Bitcoiners are humans who also fall prey to their irrationality and wishful thinking - powered by confirmation bias Take for example the bitcoin whitepaper randomly found on new Macs (perhaps for random reasons) which is suddenly linked to Tim Cook's disclosure a long time ago that he owns some bitcoin, prompting some bitcoiners into thinking that Apple is on the brink of adopting bitcoin in some fashion You were fooled by randomness* Fuck Fragile Taleb
