#Bitcoin and human flourishing | We cover #Bitcoin adoption around the globe.
Tochi Onyiah and the team at NoOnes are fighting to keep P2P #bitcoin trading alive in #Nigeria, where the government is cracking down such services. We caught up with Tochi to learn more about what’s happening on the ground.
Like many of us, it took @Flo Montoya a minute to find her role(s) in the #Bitcoin industry. Now, she uses her skills as an artist to help @Love is Bitcoin 💜⚡ and Panties for #Bitcoin with their marketing. Learn more about her journey in our interview with her.
Zussel Abigail Ramos is a resident of Prospera - a start-up city in Honduras - and she lives on a #Bitcoin standard. Is the way she lives a new model for Hondurans? Learn more in my interview with her.
Jorge Jraissati has been educating politicians and others in power about how #Bitcoin is an essential tool for preserving human rights and maintaining free and open societies. Some of his efforts have resulted in US Senators saying they won’t sign off on Warren’s anti-Bitcoin bill. We commend him for his efforts. More on this in our interview with him.
@herrytheeagle is doing big things with #Bitcoin in Africa’s biggest country (by population) - #Nigeria
"We're all Lebanese. Most just don't know it yet." This is how @npub1jan3...x52y founder @Samson Mow responded to a tweet thread on the economic situation in Lebanon from @Sooly⚡️سولي 🇱🇧🇧🇪🇦🇪🇦🇴 — a consultant, entrepreneur and investor in the Bitcoin space. What Mow was insinuating was that the fiat system is going to catch up with all of us eventually — that we'll all see our lives financially upended, just as the Lebanese currently are, because of excess money printing and poor fiscal policy. Luckily for Lebanon, they have a citizen like Sooly who's investing in the Bitcoin ecosystem so to make it more accessible to the Lebanese and to many in the Global South who will benefit from access to it. In our interview, we discuss the macroeconomic situation in Lebanon, what Bitcoin adoption there looks like and why Bitcoin is Sooly's ikigai. Enjoy!
Like many in the #Bitcoin space, Loic Kassamoto works to promote greater #Bitcoin adoption with little financial compensation for his efforts. To him, making a profit is secondary to helping the people of #Benin and #Francophone #Africa adopt #Bitcoin. We salute his efforts.
These two ladies are doing the difficult work of teaching politicians and regulators from around the world that #Bitcoin and human rights go hand-in-hand
