Cringe LinkedIn types talking about a new industrial revolution and white collar jobs going away without zero understanding on how the industrial revolution displaced illiterate farm workers in a totally different pre-democratic laissez-faire environment. Their datacenter investments are not really easy to relocate do they know that? I believe democracy is a failed god just like any of you but truth is they are one election away from having their investments nerfed to the ground. Dario should shut the fuck up.

No matter how much rightoid and leftoid Karens try to enforce their tyrany it's impossible to contain the absolute Market god. It always finds ways to breathe.

I install MPV and it somehow pulls this yt-dlp dependance named Deno that is taking an hour to compile on an M3 Max CPU. It’s not the first time I see rust dependances creeping everywhere. Nothing against it but could they make the compiler faster?

> In early 1997, the University of North Carolina setup a new Novell server called “Server 54”. After it was set up there was no need to access it physically and it was quickly forgotten. During an audit 4 years later, they could not find the server... anywhere. With help from Novell and Staff IT they traced the connection to a wire that went into a wall. In April of 2001, they found that found the server had been walled in during a remodel. That means that this server had remained on for the entire 4 years completely cut off from any human intervention or ventilation.
