What would probably be considered unacceptable today, in 1991 Plácido Domingo played as Otello.

In my perception, Cecilia Bartoli is one of the most underrated opera singers. Let's fix this by starting the day listening to her singing Händel's "Lascia la Spina".
It's impossible not to smile while imagining Shakespeare in a parallel universe watching Kurosawa's interpretation of Macbeth in "Throne of Blood". Fun fact: In the archers' scene (@ 3:33), there were real archers shooting arrows. Clearly, very good archers, but that's dedication nonetheless.
I can argue that this week will have a great start if we listen to Langston Hughes II, who brings some Jazz spirit to The Beatles' "Yesterday".
I mentioned before about the Opera Festival at Arena Di Verona, which started on June 12. One thing that totally skipped my attention was Paul Curran's production of La Traviata, created in a collaboration with Moulin Rouge, and it had its premiere last night.
If you want a slow morning while thinking about the next holiday, I suggest Kimama Sketch with “Warm Conversations”. Have a fine weekend!
It was a long, hot day. I don't have any beer at home, but if I did, it would go perfectly with Takuya Nakamura. Cheers and good night! 🍻
Today, my daughter has some school festivities, and this should be the only post. This song is my wife's suggestion, so today I invite you all to Austria through Marcus Füreder's music, though some of you might know him as Parov Stelar. He personally made the video for "Black Lilies" by painting everything by hand, image by image, like an old-school animated film.
I'm in the mood for some "old" jazz. Chet Baker - I am a fool to want you
For today's coffee break, I present to you one of this year's guests from Jazz à Juan, whom you can enjoy on July 16. The Fearless Flyers - Ace of Aces View quoted note →
Let's have a smooth start of the day with Arturo Benedetti Michelagneli playing Scarlatti's Sonata in C major K 159. Have a great day!
A slow end of the day with Tony Ann and Arkai playing "Icarus" (orchestral version).
Remember when The XX introduced themselves to the world with "The intro"? I wasn't able to find that 2009 epic moment, but I can still recollect it well with the 2010 Live from Glastonbury.
Testing the new #Amethyst release with some folk-horror rock. Honeycrush - My Dog Have a good evening!
I really don't remember ever listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons (Summer/Storm in this case) with a guitar involved. I'm still under the weather and sleep-deprived, so my memory is sketchy at best right now. I also listen to a lot of Techno these days because it works like coffee for me, but Vera Danilina is worth an exception anytime.
After seeing every commercial DJ pretending to be cultured by the Pyramids of Giza, I have to give credit to the Egyptians for doing it right. This is an ad from ARD1 (a German TV station) with soprano Fatma Said and the Les Frivos Orchestra performing Handel's "Lascia ch'io pianga", while conducted by Sammy El Ghadab.
Let's start the week with Philippe Hirschhorn playing Chausson's Poème, Op. 25.
Since there are some Tehno enjoyers around, and because earlier I wrote about A.N.I.'s professionalism, here's another name for connoisseurs. First short video, Colin Benders, modular synths, a place that looks like a backdoor to hell. Second short video, his sequencer broke, fixed it on the spot, no interruptions. So yes, look for Colin Benders.
