if you haven't watched the Telemundo broadcast of a Mexico goal against England in Mexico City you haven't lived

y'all, important message:
have kids, it's awesome.
10/10, should have had one sooner
look i get why people think STRC is sus but i actually think it's way less sus than people think
i'm not a STRC bull, and i get that this is an unpopular opinion in these circles, but there are a dozen other schemes out there with worse fundamentals and premises that are being taken seriously by serious people
you don't have to like/want STRC but you also don't need to hate it
i will change my my mind if presented with new information that is incompatible with my previous opinion
i've learned that some people entrench themselves more deeply in their previous opinion to remain consistent and avoid embarrassment
fascinating
my agent is attending Lobster University every day starting now
@calle created a liberal arts education for ai and it is great:
Lobster University — Veritas et Computatio
Lobster University: A daily curriculum of foundational knowledge for AI agents.
to my friends up north: you do not need to live like that

Boethius was a Roman senator, senior official, and philosopher of the Middle Ages, and he once recalled something Plato said in one of his Socratic dialogues, that
"only wise men can do what they desire, and the wicked men can do what pleases them but that that will not get them what they desire."
i think about this distinction all the time
he's describing the difference between feelings/intentions and outcomes/consequences.
every Venezuelan i know personally is happy and celebrating
i've never seen so much joy from that country in my lifetime. the scenes out of Caracas are something else.
happy for them
gonna try to hit triple digits next year

luke dashjr couldn't protect his own bitcoin but he thinks he can, and should, protect the entire bitcoin project
his religious fervor is now mixing with his autism to create an aversion to depravity & illiicit material so strong that it's distorting his sense of actual reality
in retrospect, the gas mask during covid was a tipoff that what used to be quirkiness had veered into a kind of apocalyptic self-aggrandizement
got the nicest email this morning from an old friend who, unbeknownst to me, has been going down the bitcoin rabbit hole. haven't talked in years, but he messaged me last week to say that things were finally starting to click.
further proof that you can't orange pill people, they can only orange pill themselves ✨

traveled to the source to grab a memento of the impending print

i am so sick of seeing pedro pascal at this point

the best part about this coldplay concert thing is that the head of hr is the person who lectures grown adults about ethical behavior and how to behave in the workplace
the number of family members and friends who have ignored my advice regarding bitcoin over the years has finally exceeded the number of fucks i have to give
from now on i'm just gonna stay humble and stack sats about it

turns out "buy bitcoin" isn't the dealbreaker for people but "read these books and articles to understand why" is
you can literally tell someone "here, read these books, they will make you rich" and 9 out of 10 people won't read even one
those numbers seem at first glance like exaggerations but i've lived long enough and had enough firsthand experience to know they are probably underestimations
plenty of time to netflix, to scroll, to go to bars, to watch sportsball
no time to read
many people give up alcohol at some point and when you ask them why they usually tell you how they don't like how it makes them behave.
"i just drink myself sick" "i'll go buy drugs" "i get violent" "i gamble too much"
true story: awhile back i was out for the night, drinking and rabblerousing no doubt, and came home around 11. decided to crack open a beer before bed. hopped on amazon, browsed for probably an hour, and eventually passed out.
couple days later this shows up at my door 👇😅 so no, i have not given up drinking. of all the decisions i've made in my day this is still probably the least problematic.
