GM, Nostrohics. Another day another early flight. The benefit of being at the ever-so-cosmopolitan Cleveland airport this early is getting to start your #coffeechain sooner…and that’s about it. Had a lovely conversation with my Lyft driver on the way here. He told me a story about a ride he picked up in a bad neighborhood at 2:30am. It’s was a woman who was leaving her boyfriend’s house after they’d had a huge fight. He scheduled the Lyft, waited a few minutes after they’d departed, and cancelled the fare - k owing their policy was to drop the rider. The woman was near tears and terrified of being abandoned in an unknown and dangerous part of town with no way of getting home. The driver decided to take her home anyway, out of kindness. We need more people like this in the world.

Start speaking up and confronting these people. They continue to do it because we allow it. Literally nobody likes this, yet, everyone is content to suffer in silence. This behavior stops the instant people call it out. View quoted note →
