Husband, Father, and Anglican Priest in the North Georgia Mountains. #Biblestr #Jesus #Christianity #BTC
👋 Gm Evening, Nostriches! #introductions New npub, same MountainVicar — fresh start on Primal. If we’ve crossed paths before, come find me again. I’m Charlie: Anglican priest in the North Georgia Mountains. Older Gen X — old enough to remember when both the church and the dollar meant something. Husband, father, lover of freedom, gardens, and dogs. In that order, mostly. Later-in-life tech student: running a Start9 node and two S21s. The hash rate calls; the pulpit calls louder. I preach through the lectionary — the cycle of Scripture readings that has shaped Christian worship for centuries. I hold to the ancient faith of the Apostles and the creeds — rooted in Scripture and passed down faithfully. Sermons as Reads here every Sunday and on mountainvicar.com. Why Nostr? Why Bitcoin? God made us in His image (Genesis 1:26–27) — the image of the One who spoke creation into being. Speech is a divine gift: we are designed to seek, receive, and proclaim truth, reflecting the One who is Truth itself. To silence a person is to suppress something sacred. Honest money is a moral issue too. Fiat is designed to be debased — inflated, manipulated, and controlled by the powerful at the expense of the weak. Turns out the money changers never really left the temple. Scripture calls unjust measures an abomination (Proverbs 11:1). Bitcoin is the opposite: fixed, transparent, and decentralized. Just weights and measures, encoded in math. The powers of this age are never neutral. The Church has known this forever. We’ve had some practice with empires. Nostr and Bitcoin offer infrastructure for truth without permission — aligning deeply with living under God rather than corrupted man, and with the freedom we are called to stand firm in. If you’ve read this far, we likely share something: sats and sermons, a love of freedom, a soft spot for gardens and dogs, solid memes, or just fatigue with the noise and a pull toward bigger questions. The Ancient Faith has been speaking into moments like this one for two thousand years. Come find me. Reply, zap, follow. I’m glad you’re here. #Christianity #GrowNostr
Third Sunday in Lent: She came to the well alone. At noon. When no one would see her. Jesus was already waiting, knowing every chapter, every failure, every empty jar. He sees the full ledger of our lives and still he offers. That is what makes his grace so astonishing. He crosses every boundary to find those of us who have quietly stopped believing anyone would come for us. The living water is not for people who have cleaned themselves up. It is for anyone who has been coming to the same well for years, still thirsty, quietly hoping that this time might be different. Come to the well of living water. #ChristIsKing #Biblestr #Lent
The apostles, once scared and hiding after the crucifixion, spread across the Roman world proclaiming the risen Christ after the resurrection. Most faced brutal deaths: crucifixion, beheading, stoning, spearing, burning. They had nothing earthly to gain, everything to lose. They claimed to be eyewitnesses of the resurrection. Liars don’t endure torture and martyrdom without recanting. Their unwavering conviction is hard to explain without genuine belief in what they saw. #biblestr #christianity #grownostr
We all are made for God. That infinite longing in our heart isn’t a glitch—it’s a homing signal pointing back to Him. Every time we’ve tried to quiet it with something created instead of the Creator, we’ve ended up emptier and more restless. That’s certainly my experience. Only when we stop running and turn to Christ does the ache start to find its answer—not in fleeting highs, but in a deep, steady peace that survives the storms. #Biblestr #Christianity #Grownostr image
Philippians 4:13 — ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ — is probably the most misquoted verse in the Bible. Athletes tattoo it for victory, motivational speakers slap it on success memes, others for success in whatever they do. But read the context (Phil 4:11-13): Paul is saying he’s learned to be content in any circumstance. Abundance or hunger, plenty or need, because Christ gives him strength to endure it all. Not a promise of unlimited achievement. A declaration of supernatural contentment amid hardship. It is about enduring lows. #Biblestr #ChristIsKing #Memestr image
GM, Nostriches. It’s a great morning to start with coffee, Scripture, and prayer. #grownostr #memestr #biblestr image

Good night, Nostriches. Remember, tomorrow is Sunday. Please visit a Bible-based church of your choosing to hear the word of God proclaimed, receive Communion, pray fervently, and enjoy the fellowship of the saints. Left to our own devices, we can slowly slip into self-centeredness and begin to live life as it seems wise in our own eyes. #Biblestr #ChristIsKing #Christianity image
Had some tree work done by the pros. We are starting to get our view back. We keep working on the smaller stuff until we can save up to get the pros back again. #grownostr #naturstr image
