NAP, a challenge-response login flow for services that authenticate users by Nostr key (nsec) rather than password. It is intentionally not a replacement for NIP-98. Instead, it is a higher-level login profile that: 1. uses a server-issued challenge, 2. completes authentication with a standard NIP-98 authorization proof, 3. issues a short-lived session for subsequent application requests.
