Voting in elections is a claim on power. To construe it as somehow a "defensive" act is a severe case of delusion. It is not. You literally support someone's quest for rule through the State. And you choose to play the game. Thus, you share responsibility for the outcome.

"Employers will be *legally* free to demand anything they want of their employees [in a free market]...But bargaining power will have shifted to favor the employee...Employees will not feel coerced into accepting mistreatment because it will be so much easier to find a new job...And the kind of horizontal coordination made possible by telecommunications networking opens up the prospect that unions could become effective at collective bargaining without having to surrender authority to a union boss." - Roderick Long, ***Beyond the Boss: Protection from Business in a Free Nation*** (1996) #Agorism #Agorist #Libertarian #Libertarianism #Antistate #FreeMarket #Labor #Unions #AnarchoSyndicalism #AnSynd #Quotestr

"Present day labor law limits the bargaining power of labor at least as much as it reinforces it. That’s especially true of reactionary legislation like Taft-Hartley and state right-to-work laws. Both are clearly abhorrent to free market principles." - Kevin Carson, "Labor Struggle in a Free Market" (2008), ***Markets Not Capitalism*** (2011) p. 256 https://marketsnotcapitalism.com/pdf #Agorism #Agorist #Libertarian #Libertarianism #Antistate #FreeMarket #Labor #Unions #AnarchoSyndicalism #AnSynd #Quotestr

Since from the State's perspective communal property was too complex and thus also too private, it crushed the commune structure in favor of less private apparatuses. "Fee-simple 'privatization,' and more recently Soviet-style 'collectivization' (i.e. de facto state ownership), are both methods by which the state has destroyed the village commune and overcome the problem—from the state’s perspective—of opacity within it. In both cases the village commune, while quite legible horizontally from the perspective of its inhabitants, was opaque to the state." - Kevin Carson, ***Communal Property: A Libertarian Analysis*** This is not to say that I am an ancom now, or that I want to form my own commune, but it is interesting how communes could potentially lead to more privacy due to the government not understanding them. Of course this doesn't really matter, since we got protocols to use now, not to mention communal property doesn't make much sense anyway from a praxeological perspective, but it is a unique concept to think about. What are your thoughts? #AskNostr

"Libertarianism is a people's movement and a liberation movement. It seeks the sort of open, non-coercive society in which the people, the living, free, distinct people may voluntarily associate, dis-associate, and, as they see fit, participate in the decisions affecting their lives. This means a truly free market in everything from ideas to idiosyncrasies. It means people free *collectively* to organize the resources of their immediate community or individualistically to organize them; it means the freedom to have a community-based and supported judiciary where wanted, none where not, or private arbitration services where that is seen as most desirable. The same with police. The same with schools, hospitals, factories, farms, laboratories, parks, and pensions. Liberty means the right to shape your own institutions. It opposes the right of those institutions to shape you simply because of accreted power or gerontological status." - Karl Hess. The nationalization of the oil industry has made it prone to the same kind of weakness as any other industry under a central planner. This is the primary reason why conflicts often lead to price inflation. This also isn't the only cause of it, obviously, but it does play a critical role alongside other costs such as tariffs, monetary inflation, and so on. In any case, I hope people at home start to learn how weak the global supply chains truly are and create their own parallel supply chains before its too late. image #Agorism #Agorist #Libertarian #Antistate #AustrianEconomics #FreeMarket #Competition #CounterEconomics #CentralPlanning #Nationalization #SupplyChain #BigOil

People's valuations are subjective and thus in ordinal rankings i.e first, second, third, etc. Without a way to translate the sum of said valuations into objective cardinal units as prices i.e $1, $2, $3, etc; there is no way to determine which areas are most economically efficient to allocate resources to, leading to consumer demands being unmet. This is the very essence of the ECP that Mises talked about.

"Let’s assume everybody hates each other. Why would people nonetheless engage in the division of labor? Mises simply points out that the division of labor will arise as long as every person prefers more goods over fewer goods, as long as every person is perfectly selfish and wants to have more rather than less. This is entirely sufficient in order to explain why they do not remain in self-sufficient isolation." - Hans-Hermann Hoppe, ***Economy, Society, and History*** (2021) p. 37 https://mises.org/library/book/economy-society-and-history #AnCap #Libertarian #Antistate #AustrianEconomics #AustrianSchool #LudwigvonMises #Mises #FreeMarket #ComparativeAdvantage #DivisionOfLabor #Quotestr
