Meshtadel July 8th, 2023, Block Height 797,859 This was our first Meshtadel on noster nests. The initial topic of the Meshtadel was to self-examine how well we as Meshtadelians are doing on the development of our eight forms of capital. To review the eight forms of capital are: intellectual, spiritual, social, material, financial, living, cultural, and experiential. Karl has a wonderful presentation that he's given within the Meshtadel on the 8 forms of capital, it is in the pinned messages on our Telegram group. SoulExporter returned to the Meshtadel on this call. It was good to have some of our “Soul” back, as we’ve all missed him very much. He has been working on building his local network and as he stated in the call, “If your local network is lacking, what good are you in an International Meshtadel.” He has been working on creating a Bitcoin presentation for what he calls “English beers.” His time off allowed him to see the perspective of a no coiner. Interesting note, one of the most aggressive attacks on Bitcoin. 184 Bitcoin were fraudulently mined/awarded/created on August 15, 2010 at Block height 74,639. We discussed the value of material capital and how perhaps in the past, material capital had more value because it was of higher quality, therefore could last longer and perhaps be handed down to your heirs. Perhaps one of the consequences of modern consumerism is material capital may be less abundant in the future. Regarding material capital, newer isn’t necessarily better. We came up with the analogy of a hand drill versus an electrical drill. Although the hand drill is rudimentary, it can last longer, it doesn't require the tether of modern amenities like electricity. Additionally, the hand drill requires greater experiential capital to operate. TK and Mrs. TK made the points that the lines separating the 8 forms are blurred and hard to define. That one form of capital leads into another. This allowed Karl to point out the 9th form of capital, “vital capital” your health and mental well-being. Karl also made the great point that he journals often and reflects on how well he is doing in his eight forms of capital. This is a good exercise in preparedness. TK stated how permeable the limits of the categories are. If the drill is useful, beautiful, historical, it can be used for multiple purposes. One drill pays into 5 different accounts. TIME is the ultimate capital, find intersections and overlaps is how you become resiliently wealthy, you’ve spent your time weaving this web together. Once you’re aware of the concepts, spend your time building multiple forms at one and it simply runs in the background. Dehydrating goods with a miner was discussed as well as the design of such an apparatus. I wasn't able to take notes for the rest of the call and was quite distracted. So perhaps others could recall the discussion. Jimmy G jumped on the call and it was good to hear from him. I was able to catch the end ShiShi and Rafa finished out the call with great discussion on permaculture techniques comfrey an Egyptian walking onion, also known as tree onions. The Meshtadel was started by @MaxBitbuybit @capoczino , and @soulexporter Exporter. The group was created to help Plebs connect with each other, provide mutual support, and as an incubator for new ideas, but the group grew to be so much more over the past few years. It’s now a group of friends who provide mutual support, general encouragement, advice on permaculture and sustainable living, sovereignty, and preparedness, and even at times parenting advice or sharing a good recipe. The term “Meshtadel” comes from the combination of Citadel + Mesh-Network. A Citadel by itself is not likely to stand under state attack, but Bitcoin-anchored, open, and decentralized societies willing to cooperate with each other p2p, that is a network that can’t be destroyed. Within the Meshtadel, Bitcoin is what has initially connected many of us, but we find through our interactions, that our love for our friends, families, and communities, and our desires to be sovereigns are what makes us Meshtadelians.
