Most people outside the US don't have this problem (from what I've read), but group SMS/MMS is fucking annoying. I hate them. I almost never want to be in them and they essentially rob me of my peace by forcing their way back into my life every time someone responds to a message. The best I've come up with is to mute them, but the messages still come. And it's worse when they contain people I don't even know. I had a landlord that did that and for some reason older people love to do it.

And I do have a much better understanding of how difficult client development is now that I'm working on one. It's hard. But we'll get nowhere if we just jerk each other off constantly.

Jumble is pretty good too. Wisp or Jumble (for those who want or need more platform support) are my go to clients right now.
I haven't tried them all though. I'm only speaking on what I have tried. There are probably other good clients out there.

This summarizes my experience with Primal every time I've tried it over the years. It's slow compared to everything else I've used, which is weird given the tradeoffs they make. Shouldn't it be faster?
I didn't think to record until about 30 seconds of loading. I gave up and closed it. This is the same story on multiple devices over multiple years. Maybe it's me, but it only seems to be me on Primal. I can get things to load eventually, but the issues eventually show up again, usually as a sluggishness that makes the app a literal drag to use.
I went in to drain my wallet but figured I'd see if the latest update was better than those in the past. Not really. I honestly can't understand how anyone is still using it.
I'm not trying to be a dick. I know I can be one sometimes. But dude... We have people working for fuck out here (solo people) coming up with stuff that works better. I WANT clients worth paying a Premium fee for, but the ones worth the most aren't getting much funding or offering paid upgrades. And I'm pretty worried about apps like Primal being sold as the one for noobs. In fact, Primal is the reason it took me several times of coming and going before finally discovering other clients and sticking around. I thought Nostr was broken when the issues were mostly Primal.
I appreciate the good things Primal has brought, but I don't think it should be recommended to newcomers. It's frustrating to use. Wisp is the closest I've seen to a client I feel I could just hand to a noob and not worry about constant tech support requests.
It is what it is.

I love when people who don't work in emergency medicine (or healthcare at all) tell me the additional ways in which I should be sacrificing myself. As if I'm supposed to give every ounce of myself to others if I wish to be moral.
I especially love it when people say we are overpaid. None of them ever apply and ask for less money to show us how it's done though.
Sacrifice, sacrifice, sacrifice. Saving any of yourself for yourself is selfish.
This is one of the main reasons so many of us burn out (US perspective).
I read about it, but seeing this in person was a damn shame. The death of a legend. RIP Gordon Ramsay.

I just learned this was a thing.
