On a side note, I played through Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, and that was such a pleasant game. It’s definitely one of those games that’s so enjoyable it hurts. Personally, I don’t think the Castlevania series benefited that much from the whole Metroidvania aspect. Arcade fits it far better. View quoted note →
Almost all done, except for Trails in the Sky the 3rd, of course (I just started it). Rough week. All these games exhausted me more than I expected. Mother and Shinobi started out really fun, but their endgames were annoying as hell. Tales of Arise turned into a massive slogfest with a very annoying final dungeon, and I’m still stuck there. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow was nice for the most part, but farming items for the true ending was annoying. Not a great rotation overall, but once I’m done with Tales of Arise, I’ll start a new one.
